We’ve heard countless stories of people getting trampled or injured during the Thursday night rush for Black Friday deals every year. Even after the Thursday night doorbusters are over, the actual Friday isn’t much better, as malls become jam packed with bargain hunters. That’s why I’m personally a big fan of shopping online. You can skip the crowds and do more informed shopping from the comfort of home, with none of the anxiety. There are some great deals coming up, some of which are already available as of this moment.
1. Amazon Echo Dot 2nd Generation – $29.99
The Amazon Echo Dot may be the entry level device into the Alexa family, but it does everything that the bigger Echo can do. I will post my own personal review soon, but I’m very happy with this device. It’s incredibly responsive, can do loads of different tasks, and connects directly to your Amazon account. This low price makes this purchase, in my opinion, a no-brainer.
2. Amazon Echo 2nd Generation – $79.99
The bigger Echo is on sale for $20 off the original price, making this a solid option for those who want the Echo, but one that comes with a better built-in speaker than the Dot.
1. Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, Note 8 (Best Buy) – $350 Off for Sprint & Verizon
There was recently a promotion for $200 off the S8, so this is a way better deal. The Galaxy S8 and Note 8 were two of the best phones of the year. It is a great alternative to people looking for non-Apple devices. The S8, with this discount, will be $15.41 a month on a two-year payment plan.
T-Mobile is having a Buy One, Get One Free promotion for Black Friday. If you were already in the market for a new smartphone, the extra phone can go to a family member or friend. If you want, you can give it to someone. then you can get reimbursed to basically cut your original cost in half.

1. MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (Late 2016) (B&H Photo) – $1,799.00
The revamped MacBook Pro with Touch Bar model was one of the hottest new items last holiday season. While Apple virtually never has discounts or sales on its own products, third-party authorized sellers do. Through B&H Photo, you can save $600 and buy this model for $1,799.00. Even after tax, you’re getting a great deal on a great computer.
Video Game Consoles
1. Xbox One S 500GB Bundle w/ 3month Game Pass, Extra Controller (Costco) – $209.99
Now that the Xbox One X is the new, coveted console, the Xbox One Slim (S) is being sold for cheaper than ever. This bundle comes with a 3-month Game Pass and an Extra Controller. While there are a bunch of offers out there from retailers such as Best Buy and Amazon for just the console at $189, the extra controller more than makes up for that $20 difference. Additionally, you can always buy this bundle, sell the controller and the 3-month Game Pass to get your total price below $189.
TVs are some of the hottest items during any Black Friday. 4K LED TVs are the latest hype, so make sure to purchase one of those if you are in the market for a new TV. LCD TVs of the past are probably not worth spending money on unless they are dirt cheap. While 4K TVs will make older content look more crisp, videos that are optimized for 4K will obviously look the best. You should keep in mind though that while 4K content is growing more popular, it is still not as widely available as HD videos.
1. Sharp 55″ Class 4K (2160P) Smart LED TV (Walmart) – $298.00
This is a solid introduction to 4K resolution if you’re upgrading from an HD TV. For $298.00, it’s a steal. However, it won’t last long so get on it ASAP!
2. Samsung Electronics 49-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (Amazon) – $697.99
Not a cheap TV by any means, but very highly rated with crisp picture quality. The original price was over a thousand dollars. 49-inches isn’t unruly, but big enough to still serve as a primary television for your home.
3. Samsung 55″ Class (54.6″ Diag) Curved 4K Ultra HD LED TV (Costco) – $979.99
Curved displays have also been gaining popularity over the past couple of years. This is a great television for a good price. As a bonus, your purchase also comes with $100 Google Play Credit you can use in the Google App Store.
