With more than 6,100 locations worldwide, it’s likely that there’s a Hilton property located at or near your destination. Whether you’re a lifelong Hilton Honors member, or someone simply looking to save on your post-COVID vacation, the Hilton Aspire Card will earn its slot in your wallet. The Aspire’s benefits will help improve your vacation every step of the way.
Hilton Aspire Card Use Case
Picture getting to the busy airport a few hours before your flight. You use your complimentary Priority Pass membership, which comes with the Hilton Aspire Card, to get into an airport lounge and eat some hot food while waiting for the flight. Snacks during the flight isn’t a problem either, since the Aspire’s $250 annual airline credit can be used for in-flight purchases.
Upon disembarking, you pay for the rental car that you’re earning 7 Hilton points per dollar on when using the Aspire. You drive to the hotel where you’ll likely spend a portion, or the entire stay for free, thanks to your Hilton points. At check in, Hilton Honors Diamond members, of which you’ve now joined the ranks thanks to your card, can ask for a room upgrade. After dropping your bags inside your upgraded room, wind down from your long journey by booking a hotel spa appointment using your $250 Resort Statement Credit.
The sign up bonus is a whopping 150,000 Hilton Honors points that can be used for booking free nights, or lowering the overall cost through the Points & Money option. For instance, The Hilton website shows that a booking at The Waldorf Astoria Shanghai for Dec. 9, 2020 would cost 74,000 points per night. When used in tandem with the Weekend Night Reward, that’s another free night. That means three free nights and some change left over from the sign up bonus alone. For a more minimalist hotel experience, there are other options nearby like the Hampton by Hilton, which is 15,000 points per night. That’s 11 free nights total!
The points earning potential on the Aspire is incredibly high. Earn 14 points per dollar on Hilton Hotels, 7 per dollar on flights booked directly with airlines or via amextravel.com, and 7 per dollar on direct bookings with select rental car companies. Dining out is a highlight of any trip, though often expensive. Fortunately, the Aspire yields 7 points per dollar spent on all US restaurants, and 3 per dollar on everything else. Additionally, any bonus points earned between May 1 and Dec. 31, 2020 will count toward elite tier qualification and lifetime Diamond status. With all these benefits, the only thing left to worry about on your future trip will be to make lasting memories.
